Survey available Sphinx themes

We might have reached the limit of what the Read The Docs theme for Sphinx can offer in terms of usability. Let’s see if any existing Sphinx theme could improve the situation.

  • Result unusable due to a JavaScript error. Seems to be an uninvestigated issue since August 2021. Too bad, I liked the top bar linking to the top level sections (example on DNA Chisel documentation).

  • Clean but a terrible fit for a documentation our size as it does not collapse any entries in the navigation bar.

  • Inspired from mdBook. Sidebar is hidden by default. Not very good for discoverability given our documentation size.
